On September 6, the People's Committee of B'Lao Ward announced that it had issued a decision to temporarily suspend Ms. Phan Bich Tram, a civil servant working at the ward.
Accordingly, Ms. Tram was temporarily suspended from work for 15 days, starting from September 3. The temporary suspension is for the authorities to verify information about the incident in which Ms. VTHH was assaulted by a group of people carrying weapons right in front of her house on Tran Phu Street (B'Lao Ward) on August 24.
The incident in which Ms. H. was assaulted involved 3 people; in which, Ms. Phan Bich Tram was the one who directly pushed and assaulted Ms. H.
As reported: At about 5:16 p.m. on August 24, Ms. H. was riding her motorbike home when a group of 3 people (2 men, 1 woman) on 2 motorbikes carrying weapons (like iron rods) blocked her way. Afterwards, Ms. H. was pushed into the bushes by Ms. Tram and then assaulted. When Ms. H. was assaulted, Mr. Vo Long Hai (Ms. H.'s husband) and several other people were present.

Witnessing the incident, some people tried to stop it but were chased by Mr. Hai and a young man with a weapon. As for Mr. Hai, although he saw his wife being beaten, he not only did not stop it, but also participated in the attack on Ms. H.
The incident in which Ms. H. was beaten by Ms. Tram and Mr. Hai lasted for nearly 5 minutes, and then stopped after some people intervened. The entire incident was recorded by a security camera. After the incident, Ms. H. was taken to Lam Dong II Hospital to have her injuries checked and was hospitalized for a day of health monitoring.
The case is currently being verified and investigated by the authorities of B'Lao ward to be handled according to the provisions of law.
