Established in 1899, the All England Open is the oldest badminton tournament in the world . It is also one of four tournaments with BWF World Tour Super 1,000 levels, organized annually by the BWF (World Badminton Federation). The other three tournaments take place in China, Malaysia, and Indonesia.
The draw for the 2026 All England Open placed Nguyen Thuy Linh in a bracket considered relatively "easy" compared to the average.

In the early days of 2026, Thùy Linh participated in two tournaments: the Super 750 India Open (reaching the round of 16) and the Super 500 Indonesia Masters (reaching the quarterfinals).
The tennis player born in 1997 did not participate in the Super 300 Thailand Masters last week and the Super 300 German Open (February 24-28) - where she is the defending runner-up.
Thùy Linh did not participate in these tournaments so that she could have more time to prepare physically before competing in the All England 2026.
