Ederson's transfer fee is estimated at around £34 million, excluding add-ons. The two clubs are now only discussing the final details regarding commission fees before announcing the deal, which is expected to happen next week.

Notably, Ederson reportedly requested to be rested for the final game of the season against Fiorentina due to concerns that an injury could affect the completion of his move to Old Trafford.

Italian media further reported that despite receiving interest from several major European clubs, Ederson's absolute priority remains joining Manchester United. Sources close to the club revealed that the Brazilian midfielder has made it clear to his agent that he only wants to play at Old Trafford next season. This is considered a crucial factor giving the Red Devils a significant advantage in the race to sign the 27-year-old.

However, according to the current plans of the MU coaching staff, Ederson is not considered an immediate starter but will play a role in increasing squad depth in the season when the team returns to the Champions League.
