Support poor but studious students

Over the years, the Trieu Phong District Association for the Promotion of Education has always increased its fundraising efforts, connecting with organizations, businesses, and kind-hearted people to jointly care for the cause of promoting education and talents. From the mobilized funds, the Trieu Phong District Association for the Promotion of Education has established many programs to award scholarships, gifts, and long-term sponsorship to help poor but studious students have more conditions to realize their dream of conquering letters.

After a long time implementing the Program "Promoting lifelong learning movement in families, clans, communities, and units for the period 2021 - 2030" according to Decision 387/QD-TTg and the Program "Building a model of learning citizens for the period 2021 - 2030" according to Decision 677/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister , the Trieu Phong District Association for the Promotion of Education focuses on building and consolidating the association's organization and developing members, thereby increasing the connection to jointly mobilize the construction of the education promotion fund.

Over the years, the District Association for Promotion of Education has closely coordinated with the District Youth Union and schools, and the Association for Promotion of Education in communes and towns to do a good job in selecting students according to the requirements of many scholarship programs managed by the Provincial Association for Promotion of Education. At the same time, the Association for Promotion of Education in Trieu Phong District has always strengthened its mobilization and connection with organizations, units, individuals, and philanthropists to build a scholarship fund to help students with especially difficult circumstances continue to excel in their studies and training.

Typically: The Trieu Phong District Association for the Promotion of Education in coordination with the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the district has repeatedly connected with Trieu Phong fellow countrymen associations and groups of Trieu Phong children across the country to mobilize support for awarding scholarships to poor and studious students with a total budget of nearly 1.5 billion VND. Connected with Quang Tri Trading Corporation Joint Stock Company to award scholarships to 33 orphaned students and students from families with difficult circumstances and sudden difficulties with a budget of 330 million VND...

In addition to the above mobilized resources, each year, the Trieu Phong District Association for the Promotion of Education also mobilizes contributions from members, officials, civil servants, teachers of schools in the district to care for the cause of promoting education and talents, especially helping poor but studious students with practical and effective actions.

For many years, the branches and school promotion boards in Trieu Phong district have done a good job of mobilizing the scholarship fund to help students in difficult circumstances such as: Chu Van An High School, Vinh Dinh High School, Trieu Phong High School, Trieu Son Primary and Secondary School, Tran Huu Duc Primary and Secondary School, Ai Tu Town Primary School...

Seven years ago, Ai Tu Town Primary School, Trieu Phong District established the “Pair of Loving Leaves” program to share difficulties and promptly encourage students with difficult circumstances to excel in their studies and life. Every year, the school’s Board of Directors, all teachers and many parents join hands to contribute, call for and mobilize sponsorship to implement the “Pair of Loving Leaves” program on the occasion of Lunar New Year.

Over the past 7 years, on average each year, Ai Tu Town Primary School has mobilized about 60 - 70 million VND to give gifts to students in difficult circumstances. In addition, the school has also built a union fund from contributions from staff and teachers to support poor but studious students.

At all levels of the grassroots education promotion association, the family education promotion committee, and the unit, the work of raising an education promotion fund is increasingly focused on. From 2023 to present, on average each year, the Ai Tu town Education Promotion Association mobilized about 500 million VND to organize gifts and rewards for nearly 2,000 students from poor, near-poor or suddenly difficult families; awarding teachers and hundreds of students with high achievements in district, provincial and national excellent student competitions.

Over the years, the Trieu Do Commune Learning Promotion Association has been considered one of the leading units in Trieu Phong district in mobilizing and building a learning promotion fund. Implementing the motto "Diversifying in mobilization; optimizing in use, ensuring publicity, transparency and efficiency of learning promotion funds", the mobilization and building of the annual learning promotion fund has always been highly effective. Typically, in 2024, the whole commune's learning promotion fund mobilized more than 850 million VND to take care of learning and talent promotion activities in the area. In 2024, the People's Committee and the Trieu Do Commune Learning Promotion Association rewarded and supported over 160 students with a total amount of more than 400 million VND.

Since its establishment, the Trieu Do Commune Association for the Promotion of Education has helped and created conditions for tens of thousands of disadvantaged students to study with peace of mind, many drop-out students to return to class, and rewarded hundreds of excellent teachers, excellent students at all levels, and outstanding bachelor families...

In addition, every year, the Trieu Do Commune Association for the Promotion of Education regularly visits and encourages students in difficult circumstances, not allowing them to drop out of school, specifically: giving valuable and meaningful gifts or scholarships to students in difficult circumstances at the beginning of the new school year, the end of the semester, the end of the school year, the Mid-Autumn Festival, and the Lunar New Year as an encouragement for them to persevere on the path of learning.

Currently, the total scholarship fund in Trieu Phong district has reached more than 6 billion VND (not including the scholarship fund in 46 schools in the district). Many communes have high scholarship funds such as: Trieu Do 850 million VND, Trieu Thanh 750 million VND, Trieu Trach 700 million VND... From that fund, in 2024, the Trieu Phong District Scholarship Association organized awards and honors for 195 teachers and students who won high prizes in competitions for excellent teachers and excellent students at all levels with a budget of 78 million VND.

At the same time, 38 bachelor families were honored and especially scholarships were awarded to 1,200 students in difficult circumstances with a total cost of 2.1 billion VND (not including scholarships awarded by the Provincial Association for Promotion of Education to students in the district).

Those gifts and scholarships have timely shared difficulties, added motivation to help poor but studious students continue to excel in their studies, life and nurture their dreams of a brighter future.
