Under the scorching early summer sun, groups of soldiers diligently practiced shooting, grenade throwing, and explosives handling. Sweat streamed down their young faces, soaking their shirts and dripping onto their rifle stocks and helmet straps. Yet, on the training ground, the commands for practice rang out decisively.

Unit officers assisted youth union members from schools in the area in providing drinking water and encouraging soldiers at the training ground.

These days, to ensure the health of the soldiers, units proactively adjust training schedules accordingly, alternating between active and passive training, increasing the presence of medical personnel on the training grounds, and ensuring an adequate supply of drinking water and electrolytes. In addition, cool water bottles, cold towels, cups of green tea, and lemon-salt drinks are brought directly to the training grounds by the Regiment's Women's Association and youth union members from affiliated units, contributing to a refreshing atmosphere for the soldiers.

From early morning, female officers and members of the Women's Association of Regiment 750, along with youth union members from Hung Son 2 Primary School and Luc Ba Primary School, were present at the training ground to support the soldiers. Their sun-protective shirts were darkened with sweat, and their faces were tanned red after hours standing in the sweltering heat, showing that this sharing was not just about a few bottles of water or words of encouragement, but also about affection and responsibility towards the new recruits.

The Women's Association of Regiment 750 came to provide water and encourage the soldiers on the training ground.

During short breaks, water was passed around quickly. Some soldiers, having just removed their hats, immediately bent down to let the cold water from a towel soak their flushed faces. Captain Hoang Thi Hien, Head of the Women's Association of Regiment 750, shared that after many days of directly participating in training with new recruits, she personally felt the hardships faced by soldiers during the hot training season. Seeing these young soldiers, their clothes drenched in sweat but still persevering in performing each exercise, she felt even more compassion and a desire to share more. "Seeing them diligently practicing a physical exercise reminds me of my own children at home. Therefore, I only hope to bring the soldiers a cool cup of water, a cold towel, or a word of encouragement to help them overcome the heat," she confided.

Not only the new recruits, but many training officers also have almost no time to rest. After monitoring and correcting every posture and movement, and reminding the soldiers of every command, they also take the opportunity to check the soldiers' health and encourage them to maintain stable morale before the important inspection. The sweltering sun on the training ground or the hoarse voices after hours of continuous training do not diminish their enthusiasm when they see the soldiers maintaining good spirits and determination to complete the inspection.

Military medical personnel were mobilized to the maximum extent to handle cases of heatstroke and heat exhaustion among soldiers.

Private Dam Ngoc Thanh, a new recruit of the 832nd Regiment, said that during training, he suffered from sunstroke twice and had to be taken to a resting place for medical attention. At times, his body was so exhausted that he felt unable to continue training. But the encouragement from the unit's officers and commanders, along with the cool water bottles and sincere inquiries from the women's association and youth union members of the affiliated unit, helped Thanh regain his determination to return to the training ground. "Seeing the women standing in the hot sun alongside the soldiers to provide water and encouragement, I told myself I couldn't lose heart, I had to be determined to train and perform well in the inspection," Thanh shared.

"A glass of water on the training ground" warms the hearts of soldiers.

What is admirable is that amidst the harsh weather conditions, no one chose to stand aside from the hardship. The trainers were determined to help the soldiers achieve the best results; the new recruits strived to overcome the pressure of their first days and months in the army; and those who came to support the training ground silently shared the burden with the soldiers under the scorching early summer sun. This companionship further boosted the morale of each soldier, enabling them to steadfastly overcome the challenges.

On the scorching training ground of the 2026 training season, the beads of sweat rolling down the faces of the officers not only showed the harshness of the weather, but also highlighted their determination to overcome difficulties, their sense of responsibility, and the strong bond between the military and the people.
