Continue to invest preferentially, support farmers and implement future projects

On the morning of June 28, in Tuy Hoa City, KCP Vietnam Industrial Company Limited (KCP) celebrated the 25th anniversary of the company's establishment and development.

Attending the event were comrades: Cao Thi Hoa An, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Tran Huu The, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee; Le Tan Ho, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; former provincial leaders of different periods; representatives of leaders, former leaders of departments, branches, localities, and enterprises in the province. Especially, there was the presence of Mr. Vipra Pandey, Consul General of India in Ho Chi Minh City; Ms. Le Thi Bang Tam, former Deputy Minister of Finance .

Comrade Cao Thi Hoa An, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council presented a souvenir to Ms. Velagapudi Lakshmara Indira Dutt (Chairwoman and CEO of KCP Group, Chairwoman of the KCP Board of Members).

Over the past 25 years (from 2000 to present), KCP has purchased 18.24 million tons of sugarcane, produced 1.93 million tons of sugar, exported 735 million KWH of renewable energy to the grid, paid 18,803 billion VND for sugarcane to farmers, invested 4,174 billion VND in raw material areas, supported 147 billion VND in non-refundable subsidies to farmers, paid 1,263 billion VND to the State budget, and contributed 87 billion VND to rural development and social work. KCP's activities in Phu Yen have promoted and stabilized socio-economic growth for 58 communes in 9 districts/towns of the three provinces of Phu Yen, Gia Lai and Binh Dinh, especially in mountainous areas. KCP has created the main source of income for about 12,200 farming households, 700 direct and indirect workers for thousands of households working in the fields of agriculture and transportation.

Provincial Party Secretary Cao Thi Hoa An presented flowers and certificates of merit from the Provincial People's Committee to representatives of the KCP collective.

At the celebration, Mr. KVSR Subbaiah, General Director of KCP affirmed: Thanks to the enthusiastic support and comprehensive cooperation of the Vietnamese Government , provincial leaders, localities and sugarcane farmers, customers and financial institutions, KCP has developed, succeeded and proudly celebrated the 25th anniversary of the company's establishment in the 84th anniversary of the establishment of KCP Group and 35 years of KCP's association with Vietnam. KCP commits to farmers to continue implementing preferential investment policies, purchasing policies, and supporting mechanization; continue to cooperate with Ben Cat Sugarcane Research Institute to test and expand new sugarcane varieties, train 4,000 farmers/year to update the latest sugarcane cultivation techniques; contribute 3,500 VND/ton of sugarcane to repair intra-field roads. KCP will also implement future projects, expanding and increasing the capacity of Son Hoa Biomass Power Project to 75 MW along with expanding and increasing the capacity of the sugar factory to 15,000 TMN, producing bioplastics with a total additional investment of 100 million USD.

Comrade Le Tan Ho, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee presented flowers and a certificate of merit from the Provincial People's Committee to Mr. KVSR Subbaiah.

Also contributing his opinion to this event, Mr. Vipra Pandey, Consul General of India in Ho Chi Minh City, said: Phu Yen has many advantages in terms of geography and natural conditions, along with the support and assistance of local government leaders, which has helped the cooperation between the two sides as well as KCP to develop more and more and have a strong relationship. He also hopes that KCP will always have strong development in the future; wishes and encourages Indian businesses to continue to invest and develop in Phu Yen.

Comrade Le Tan Ho, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, delivered a congratulatory speech to KCP.

Speaking at the congratulatory ceremony for KCP on its 25th anniversary, comrade Le Tan Ho, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, said: KCP has continuously grown, becoming a leading enterprise in the sugarcane sector and the sugarcane production chain of KCP Vietnam is also a model for the whole country. The Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee suggested that KCP continue to promote the tradition of solidarity and creativity, further promote the application of science and technology, strengthen links with farmers, especially in research and supplementing new sugarcane varieties suitable for local conditions, in order to further improve productivity, quality and added value of products. KCP continues to fulfill its social responsibilities, protect the environment, build a strong brand and develop sustainably.

Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Tan Ho presented the Decision on Adjusting the Investment Policy of the Biomass Power Plant Project of KCP Phu Yen to the representative of KCP's leadership.

Within the framework of the celebration, the Provincial People's Committee announced and awarded the Decision on adjusting the investment policy of the KCP Phu Yen Biomass Power Plant project under KCP. KCP also expressed gratitude, presented medals, flowers, certificates of merit and gifts to typical farmers, farmers who supplied sugarcane in large quantities and have been with the company for the past 25 years.

Comrade Nguyen Quoc Hoan, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Organization Committee, presented flowers and gratitude plaques to farmers.

On this occasion, the Provincial People's Committee also awarded Certificates of Merit to KCP collective and 2 individuals who have made many contributions to social security and humanitarian charity activities contributing to the socio-economic development in the province, including: Ms. Velagapudi Lakshmana Indira Dutt (Chairman and CEO of KCP Group, Chairman of the Board of Members of KCP) and Mr. KVSR Subbaiah (General Director of KCP). Ms. Velagapudi Lakshmana Indira Dutt and Mr. KVSR Subbaiah also received souvenirs from Phu Yen Provincial Party Committee.
