In the first six months of 2025, the Political Affairs Department focused on effectively carrying out ideological work, creating high consensus and unity among cadres, Party members, and soldiers, and effectively implementing the work programs and plans set forth.

Notably, the Political Affairs Department proactively and promptly advised the Party Committee and the Board of Directors of the City Police Department on organizing the dissemination and implementation of resolutions and directives of the Ministry of Public Security in implementing the conclusions of the Central Committee and the Politburo of the 13th Party Congress; advised on directing the effective implementation of political and ideological education and Party propaganda work, especially the ideology of officers and soldiers after the merger and reorganization of the organizational structure. In addition, the department also advised on the successful organization of activities to celebrate anniversaries and major events throughout the year.

Publicity work was also a highlight, with over 1,500 news articles and reports published in mass media; exceeding the target for news articles published on the Ministry of Public Security's electronic portal regarding publicity work…

On behalf of the Party Committee and the Board of Directors of the City Police, Colonel Duong Van Thoan, Deputy Director of the City Police, commended and congratulated the Political Affairs Department on its achievements in the first six months of 2025. He also requested the leadership of the Political Affairs Department and all officers and soldiers to build upon these achievements; address existing problems; and learn from experience to develop key solutions and tasks for the remaining six months of the year and beyond.

This includes continuing to innovate thinking, methods, and approaches to effectively perform the advisory function, focusing on thoroughly understanding the ideological situation, thoughts, and legitimate aspirations of officers and soldiers, especially those affected by organizational restructuring and changes in work positions. Along with this, proactively coordinate and review the content and tasks, and organize well the activities commemorating the 80th anniversary of the Vietnam People's Public Security Force and the 20th anniversary of the National Day for Protecting National Security; propaganda activities celebrating the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and National Day on September 2nd; and advising on the organization of activities to celebrate the Party Congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term.
