Seeking creative ideas from the "Startup and Innovation" competition.

At the event, Associate Professor, Dr. Le Van Thuong, Rector of Ho Chi Minh City University of Architecture, stated that the "Startup and Innovation" competition is not only a valuable academic playground but also a place where creative ideas are nurtured, startup projects are shaped, and the spirit of innovation is strongly disseminated within the student community.

This is especially true in fields that have a profound impact on urban life and socio-cultural aspects, such as architecture, planning, construction, applied arts, law, culture, and other social sciences .

According to Associate Professor, Dr. Le Van Thuong, students should boldly share their ideas, dare to think, dare to act, and be ready to step out of their comfort zone.

"Every idea, no matter how small, can create big changes if properly nurtured and developed in a supportive environment," emphasized Associate Professor, Dr. Le Van Thuong.

The competition is open to students currently studying at universities and colleges in Ho Chi Minh City, and participants will compete in teams (or groups) of projects.

Each group has a maximum of 5 members, who may come from one or more educational institutions, and are supervised by lecturers from universities and colleges in Ho Chi Minh City.

Also at the program, Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Viet Dung, Vice Rector of Ho Chi Minh City University of Law, stated that the projects participating in the competition aim to solve community and social problems, in the context of sustainable development as an essential requirement of socio-economic development.

The fields include: law; education, culture; architecture, construction, planning, design, fine arts; cultural industries; services; digital technology applications, information technology…

Students asked questions to the competition organizers.

The competition consists of three rounds: Project selection held at Ho Chi Minh City University of Culture (from June 15-30, 2025); Semi-final round held at Ho Chi Minh City University of Architecture (from July 10-August 20, 2025); Final round held at Ho Chi Minh City University of Law (from August 21-October 31, 2025).

The first prize of the competition is worth 100,000,000 VND; two second prizes are worth 80,000,000 VND each, two third prizes are worth 75,000,000 VND each, and there are many other prizes in the competition.

In addition, the teams that reach the final round will receive support from the organizers in connecting with experts to develop their innovative startup projects.
