Interventional Cardiology: Beyond the Limits

During 2 days (September 20-21), VICC 2025 will bring a rich, diverse and practical academic program. With 6 parallel halls, hundreds of domestic experts, doctors, nurses, technicians as well as many international experts will meet, share experiences and update the latest advances in the field of Interventional Cardiology.

The highlight of the conference is 7 complex interventions performed by leading experts with modern tools and techniques, which will be broadcast live from leading cardiovascular centers in Vietnam, Singapore and Germany.

Along with that, many attractive academic topics will take place such as: Structural heart intervention - a field that is developing strongly, opening up breakthroughs in intervention for aortic valve stenosis, mitral valve regurgitation, tricuspid valve regurgitation, etc.; updating new techniques, drugs and equipment in interventional cardiology; young doctor forum - where the new generation affirms their abilities, presents research, unique clinical cases and connects with expert masters; academic debate to encourage multi-dimensional criticism, creating a vivid picture of clinical practice... For the first time, the "VICS Young Flame 2025" competition for young doctors from many centers across the country will arouse the spirit of healthy competition and the desire to overcome personal limits and will also take place during the conference.

VICC 2025 also brings a special Gala Night - a unique playground where interventional rooms from many major hospitals compete together in the Cathlab's Got Talent program. This is an emotional highlight, an opportunity to connect the interventional cardiology community across the country.

Speaking at the conference, Prof. Dr. Pham Manh Hung - President of the Vietnam Interventional Cardiology Association emphasized: With the theme "Interventional Cardiology - Overcoming all limits", the VICC 2025 conference is not only a place to update knowledge and share experiences, but also an opportunity to look back on the 30-year journey of formation and the strong progress of interventional cardiology in Vietnam.

Since the first coronary angioplasty in 1995 until now, the whole country has more than 130 centers, more than 500 doctors doing interventional cardiology, performing about 150,000 procedures each year. In particular, Vietnam currently has 10 centers implementing TAVI (of which 4 are completely independent centers) and many world-class techniques such as: transcatheter valve repair; aortic intervention, congenital heart disease, heart failure, hypertension with devices...

Prof. Olivier Morel - Strasbourg University Hospital, Strasbourg (France) said that, besides the achievements, there are still many challenges, especially in making the health system more accessible and ensuring that modern equipment and advanced techniques are not only for a few but will reach all patients. This is not only a medical challenge but also a social responsibility.

“Together, we can continue to build a future where interventional cardiology brings hope and healing to every patient, everywhere,” emphasized Professor Olivier Morel.

Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Thanh Lich highly appreciated the achievements of the Interventional Cardiology sector over the past 3 decades. At the same time, Vice Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Thanh Lich believed that with the scale of organization, academic quality and the large participation of the professional community, VICC 2025 will become an important mark of Vietnam's healthcare in 2025; contributing to improving the quality of treatment and care for cardiovascular patients in Vietnam in general and Gia Lai province in particular; shaping the development strategy of the sector in the coming time; affirming the increasingly solid position of interventional cardiology in Vietnam on the regional and world medical map.
