Good news for Quang Nam FC as the team is likely to secure a sponsor and register for the 2025-2026 professional season this afternoon, July 28th.

A week after announcing the possibility of disbanding and suspending football activities, Quang Nam Club sent a positive signal to the Vietnam Professional Football League (VPF) organizing committee.

According to information from VPF, Quang Nam Club has proactively reported on the situation and negotiation process with the sponsor. Quang Nam Club is committed to a 90% chance of participating in the V-League 2025-2026.

The Tam Ky Stadium team stated that they are awaiting written confirmation from the sponsor regarding the terms and conditions through all relevant parties. This process has been ongoing throughout the past week in an effort to save the team.

VPF has also sent another letter extending the deadline for Quang Nam Club to respond with a "yes or no" answer. Specifically, the team from Quang Nam must provide a clear answer before 5 PM on July 28th.

The sponsor will provide confirmation as early as the afternoon of July 28th, allowing Quang Nam FC to send an official registration letter to the VPF. If they are lucky, Quang Nam FC will be "saved" at the last minute.

From a professional standpoint, Quang Nam FC will be led by someone from Da Nang . The team currently lacks sufficient players. It is highly likely that Da Nang FC will have to provide players to Quang Nam FC if the latter remains in the V-League.

Coach Van Sy Son said he returned to Hanoi after "not receiving any calls from Quang Nam Club" two days ago. His contract with Quang Nam Club had expired earlier.

Some players from Quang Nam have been signed by Da Nang FC, while the majority have left to find new teams.

About a week ago, Quang Nam FC announced to its players that the team was disbanding because they could not find a new sponsor after the old one withdrew. The team merged with Da Nang FC, however, most of the players had to leave to find new jobs on their own.

However, after a week of effort, it is highly likely that Quang Nam FC will be "saved" at the last minute, allowing them to remain in the V-League 2025-2026. If Quang Nam does not withdraw from the league, the opportunity for Binh Phuoc FC to play in the V-League next season, replacing Quang Nam, will also be gone.
