One week after the announcement of possible dissolution and suspension of football activities, Quang Nam Club sent good news to the organizing committee of the Vietnam Professional Football Tournament VPF.
According to information from VPF, Quang Nam Club has proactively reported the situation and negotiation process with the sponsor. Quang Nam Club commits to a 90% chance of participating in V-League 2025-2026.
The Tam Ky team said they are waiting for the sponsor to send a document confirming the terms through the relevant parties. This process has been going on all week to save the team.
VPF also sent another official dispatch to extend the time to answer "yes or no" to Quang Nam Club. Specifically, the Quang Nam team must clearly answer before 5pm on July 28.
At the earliest, on the afternoon of July 28, the sponsor will have confirmation for Quang Nam Club to send an official letter to register for the competition to VPF. If lucky, Quang Nam Club will be "saved" at the last minute.
In terms of expertise, Quang Nam Club will be assigned to a " Da Nang person" to lead. The current team does not have enough players. It is likely that Da Nang Club will have to send players to Quang Nam Club if the team stays in the V-League.
Coach Van Sy Son said he returned to Hanoi after "not receiving any calls from Quang Nam Club" 2 days ago. Mr. Son's contract with Quang Nam Club expired earlier.
Some Quang Nam players have been accepted by Da Nang Club, the majority have left to find new teams.
About a week ago, Quang Nam Club announced to the players that the team would disband because they could not find a new sponsor after the old sponsor withdrew. The team merged with Da Nang Club, but most of the players had to leave to find new jobs.
However, after a week of efforts, it is likely that Quang Nam Club will be "saved" at the last minute to be able to stay in the V-League 2025-2026. If Quang Nam does not withdraw from the tournament, the opportunity for Binh Phuoc Club to replace Quang Nam to play in the V-League next season will also be gone.
