On June 9, the Cross-Border E-commerce Conference (XBG) themed "Asian quintessence, global breakthrough", co-organized by Amazon Global Selling and Vietnam Department of E-commerce & Digital Economy (iDEA) - under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, opened in Ho Chi Minh City. Ho Chi Minh.
According to the report "Local sellers, global consumers in 2022: Seizing export opportunities through e-commerce in Vietnam", conducted by Access Partnership, retail export from business to consumer (B2C) via e-commerce will make a significant contribution to Vietnam's economy with the potential to reach a value of 296,3 trillion dong by 2027 if e-commerce products and services are accelerated by small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and exports. In 2022, Vietnam's B2C e-commerce exports reached a value of 80,7 trillion VND, ranking 7th among Vietnam's export categories.
“Asian Elite, Global Breakthrough” is an event with a series of activities including an XBG e-commerce conference to share the latest updates on the e-commerce industry, as well as introduce successful Amazon sellers from countries in the region such as Korea, Singapore and Vietnam.
Along with that, in order to provide Vietnamese authorities, policymakers and businesses with information to have an objective view of e-commerce export trends, Amazon Global Selling has shared some summaries drawn from the report "Local sellers, global consumers in 2022: Seizing export opportunities via e-commerce in Vietnam", conducted by the Access Partnership consulting company. The report builds on studies in 2021 and adjusts estimates of the size of e-commerce exports in Vietnam through 2027. The report also provides insights from Vietnam's MSMEs on current and future e-commerce participation, key overseas exporters, and introduces potential policy references that could help expand Vietnam's e-commerce industry.
The XBG 2023 E-commerce Conference aims to host 1.000 MSMEs, equipping them with the information, knowledge and resources to capture cross-border trade opportunities, expand customer reach, and grow global business. The event is designed with 3 main activities: updating the latest industry trends and information; connecting service providers of the XBG e-commerce industry with the participation of 14 service providers from key service areas in online export; series of seminars of successful sellers from Asia to share experiences and practical lessons when reaching out to the world and building a global brand.
