Musiala's injury status

The German midfielder suffered a serious injury during the match against PSG in the quarter-finals of the FIFA Club World Cup 2025™ on the morning of July 6th.

Musiala's horrific injury occurred at the end of the first half, when the midfielder collided violently with PSG goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma while receiving a pass from Michael Olise. Musiala fell with a deformed ankle, shocking both players and fans.

The incident caused Musiala to cry out and clutch his left ankle, while many other players were also shocked. The medical team immediately rushed onto the field and took the German player to the hospital.

After the match, Bayern coach Vincent Kompany told DAZN : "The situation is not good. I hope that things are not as bad as they have been. I hope he will get through it."

According to Sky Sports , Musiala is suspected to have fractured his fibula. Doctors are conducting further diagnostics before making a final announcement.

Coach Kompany also expressed his anger about Donnarumma's foul on Musiala: "I rarely feel this angry at half-time, not at the players. For young players like Musiala, this is their life. This boy always craves playing."

German football expert Raphael Honigstein commented: "The Bayern players were clearly psychologically affected and may need some time to readjust after witnessing Musiala's incident."

Bayern lost 0-2 to PSG thanks to goals from Ousmane Dembélé and Desire Doue, thus bidding farewell to the tournament in the quarter-finals.
