The exhibition of current affairs and art photos of the Fatherland - 80 independent autumns was opened by the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists on the afternoon of October 15, an activity in a series of events celebrating the 80th anniversary of National Day.
80 years of pride of the Fatherland through photos
200 works were selected for display, comprehensively reflecting the flow of history and breath of Vietnamese life over the past eight decades.
The photos represent three important historical periods: "Unforgettable Years" depicts memories of war and the indomitable spirit of the nation in the struggle for independence;
"The Country is Full of Joy" recreates the atmosphere of solidarity and joy during the period of unification, construction and development; "Integration and Development" reflects a dynamic, creative and confident Vietnam in the period of innovation and international integration.
The exhibition displays a number of very valuable photos associated with important historical moments of the nation.
Like the work Mit Celebrating the complete liberation of the South at August Revolution Square, May 1 , 1975 , by photographer Nguyen Huu Nen ( Hanoi ), recorded the joy of the country being reunited.
The work Reunification Train - Connecting the North and South by photographer Tran Uong Son (Hanoi), captured a vivid symbolic image of the united country, warmly welcomed by the people of Ho Chi Minh City on January 4, 1977...

Epic poem in pictures about the Fatherland Vietnam
According to the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists, the exhibition is a vivid demonstration of the companionship of photography with the country and the strong development of Vietnamese photography in the new era.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, photographer Tran Thi Thu Dong - President of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists - affirmed: "The exhibition is not only a place to admire art, but also a proud journey of memories, reminding today's generation of the unparalleled value of Peace , Independence and Freedom.
Each work is a visual epic about the Fatherland Vietnam".
The Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists believes that the light from the works in the exhibition "Fatherland - 80 independent autumns" will continue to inspire, arouse patriotism, pride and aspiration to contribute in every Vietnamese person today.
