The Fatherland celebrates 80 years of independence: rare and precious photographs.

The proud journey of national memory during 80 years of independence is being vividly recreated in 200 valuable news and art photographs on display at the Temple of Literature - National University, Hanoi.

The photo exhibition " Homeland - 80 Autumns of Independence" was inaugurated by the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists on the afternoon of October 15th, as part of a series of events celebrating the 80th anniversary of National Day.

80 years of national pride through photographs.

The 200 selected artworks on display comprehensively reflect the flow of history and the pulse of life in Vietnam over the past eight decades.

The photographs represent three important historical periods: "Unforgettable Years" depicts war memories and the indomitable spirit of the nation in the struggle for independence;

"The Nation's Complete Joy" recreates the atmosphere of unity and jubilation during the period of unification, construction, and development; "Integration and Development" reflects a dynamic, creative, and confident Vietnam during the period of reform and international integration.

The exhibition displays a number of very valuable photographs associated with momentous historical moments of the nation.

Like the work Jackfruit This photograph, taken by Hanoi photographer Nguyen Huu Nen, captures the joyous celebration of the complete liberation of South Vietnam at the August Revolution Square on May 1, 1975 , marking the reunification of the country.

The artwork "The Reunification Train - Connecting the North and South" by photographer Tran Uong Son (Hanoi), capturing a vivid symbolic image of a unified country, was warmly welcomed by the people of Ho Chi Minh City on January 4, 1977…

An epic in images about the Vietnamese homeland.

According to the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists, the exhibition is a vivid testament to photography's companionship with the country and to the strong development of Vietnamese photography in the new era.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, photographer Tran Thi Thu Dong - president of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists - affirmed: "The exhibition is not only a place to admire art, but also a journey of proud memories, reminding today's generation of the unparalleled value of Peace, Independence and Freedom."

Each artwork is a visual epic about the Vietnamese homeland."

The Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists believes that the light from the works in the exhibition "Homeland - 80 Autumns of Independence" will continue to inspire, awaken patriotism, pride, and the desire to contribute in every Vietnamese person today.
