Seminar on local military and defense work

On the afternoon of May 27th, the National Defense Academy, in coordination with the Thanh Hoa Provincial Military Command, organized a seminar on local military and national defense work.

Attending the seminar were: Lieutenant General Nguyen Anh Tuan, Deputy Director of the National Defense Academy; Cao Van Cuong, Provincial Party Committee member, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Thanh Hoa province; Colonel Dinh Bat Van, Standing Committee member of the Provincial Party Committee, Commander of the Provincial Military Command, along with officers, lecturers, and students of the 55A long-term training course on strategic campaign command and staff, National Defense Academy.

At the seminar, delegates focused on discussing and clarifying outstanding achievements and experiences in advising local Party committees and authorities on leading and directing the implementation of local defense and military tasks; improving the quality of training and exercises; building militia and reserve forces; building a national defense system based on the people's security posture; and building increasingly solid provincial defense zones.

Over the years, Thanh Hoa province has consistently focused on leading and directing the effective implementation of local military and national defense tasks; closely integrating socio -economic development with the consolidation of national defense and security. National defense and security education has been implemented comprehensively; local armed forces have been built up strongly; and the military posture in the defense zone has been gradually consolidated and perfected.

The Provincial Military Command has proactively advised on the construction of national defense projects; closely coordinated with other forces to maintain a firm grasp of the local situation, and ensured political security and social order.

Through the seminar, delegates exchanged many valuable theoretical and practical contents, contributing to improving the quality of training and scientific research at the National Defense Academy; and at the same time enhancing the effectiveness of advising and directing the implementation of military and national defense tasks in Thanh Hoa province in the coming time.

On this occasion, the 55A short-term training course on Command and Staff for Campaigns and Strategies at the National Defense Academy awarded two houses, each worth 80 million VND, to two extremely disadvantaged policy beneficiary families in Hac Thanh ward and Nga An commune, Thanh Hoa province.
