Phuong Dong is not afraid to overcome her own limits, shining in difficult performances.

After 18 years of working in circus, Phuong Dong has taken on dozens of leading roles, made her mark through many difficult acts and won many domestic and international circus festival awards. In the early stages of her career, Phuong Dong suffered a broken arm when falling from a height. In addition, there were many difficult challenges during her training. No matter how many hardships, Phuong Dong did not put aside her love for circus. After recovering, she became more determined in her choice. "Overcoming my fear, I understood that if I chose circus, I would accept harsh tests" - Phuong Dong confided.

Entering the international arena, the Vietnamese flag in her hand is the motivation for Phuong Dong to compete with all her might, creating a milestone in her career. At home, the times when she gets to go to the border and remote islands to serve the army and people at the forefront of the waves and winds are her happiness. Phuong Dong is always concerned about the future of Vietnamese circus. There was a time when circus was considered a selective art form, gradually becoming outdated in the eyes of young audiences. Recently, when innovative plays such as "Mysterious Land" became popular, many people paid attention to circus. Phuong Dong and her colleagues were motivated to confidently bring unique performances, with the breath of the times.

Meritorious Artist Le Ich Dien - Director of Phuong Nam Art Theater - always expresses his respect, love and admiration for young people who are engaged in professional circus activities like Phuong Dong. "It is gratifying that young people not only inherit the good but also bring new colors to Vietnamese circus. In parallel with producing long scripted circus plays, the theater still carefully invests in individual circus acts to promote the talents of each individual" - Meritorious Artist Le Ich Dien added.

Despite having achieved certain results, Phuong Dong does not allow herself to be complacent, but strives to improve her skills. She also constantly seeks opportunities to exchange and learn from countries that are strongly developed in this field. She believes that the attraction of the work does not only come from the techniques or the grandeur of the staging, but most importantly, from the enthusiasm of the performers. "I live with circus with passion, wholehearted dedication and respect for the audience. Only when I love the profession can I keep the flame of the profession alive and inspire the next generation," she confided.
