Tom Cruise was fearless as he drove his motorcycle off a cliff in 'Mission: Impossible 7'

Vanessa Kirby, who returns to play the White Widow in Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One ( Mission: Impossible 7 ), said she was on set when Cruise parachuted from a motorcycle after driving it off a cliff in Iceland in the latest film.

"He did it over and over again throughout the day," Kirby said. "He kept repeating the shot over and over again to get all the angles."

If Tom Cruise was nervous, he certainly didn't show it. Kirby said: "Tom was calm, not scared. He was just excited. That belief was infused into the film, it was inspiring. Tom always believed he could do the impossible and then he did it… I loved being a part of the franchise. I'm really excited to be back."

Vanessa Kirby will be in at least one more film. "I love playing White Widow because she's unusual, strange, fun, and ambiguous."

Paramount debuted 20 minutes of Mission: Impossible 7 during its presentation at CinemaCon last month. Christopher McQuarrie, who directed the fifth and sixth installments of the Mission: Impossible series, returns alongside Kirby, Simon Pegg, Rebecca Ferguson and Ving Rhames.

Tom Cruise takes on a dangerous new mission in Mission: Impossible 7. The trailer shows the action star and crew preparing for a scene where Tom jumps off a motorcycle while driving off a cliff.

"This is the most dangerous thing I've ever done," said Tom Cruise.

Mission: Impossible 7 is an action film starring Tom Cruise as Agent Ethan Hunt of the Impossible Missions Force (IMF). The film is written and directed by Christopher McQuarrie, produced by Cruise, McQuarrie, JJ Abrams, David Ellison and Jake Meyers, and distributed by Paramount Pictures.

Mission: Impossible 7 is scheduled to hit theaters on July 14, 2023.
