On the morning of September 13th, General Secretary and President of Laos Thongloun Sisoulith and his wife, along with a high-level delegation from the Lao Party and State, departed Ho Chi Minh City for home, successfully concluding their state visit to Vietnam.

According to the Central Committee's Foreign Affairs Department, after returning to his country, the General Secretary and President of Laos sent a letter of thanks to the General Secretary and President of Vietnam, To Lam.
The letter reads as follows:

My wife and I, along with the high-level delegation of the Lao Party and State, have returned safely to our country. On behalf of the delegation, I sincerely thank General Secretary and President To Lam and the leaders of the Party, State, and people of fraternal Vietnam, especially the people of Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, for the warm, respectful, and close welcome extended to our delegation throughout our state visit to Vietnam.

I am very impressed and highly appreciate the results of this state visit and the meeting between the two Politburos of Laos and Vietnam, as well as the profound and frank exchanges of views and the high level of consensus between the high-level leaders of our two Parties and States in assessing the results of bilateral cooperation in the past period. They also acknowledge the commitment to continue protecting, promoting, and nurturing the great friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties, two States, and peoples of Laos and Vietnam, and Vietnam and Laos, to further develop it to new heights, comprehensively connecting the two economies of Laos and Vietnam, strengthening and exploiting the strengths of each country, helping each other to develop together, bringing practical benefits to the people of our two countries, and contributing to peace, stability, cooperation, and development in the region and the world.
