Next, the General Secretary, the President and his wife were invited to the position of honour and observed a minute of silence in memory of the Cuban national hero, who sowed the seeds of friendship between the two brotherly countries half a world apart when, at the end of the 19th century, he wrote the famous essay "A walk on the land of the Annamese" published in the magazine Tuoi Vang, in which he praised the tradition of patriotism and indomitable resistance to foreign invaders of the Vietnamese people.
Afterwards, the General Secretary, President and his wife visited the Jose Marti Memorial House in the Revolution Square and were introduced to the life and career of the outstanding Cuban Hero. Here, the distinguished Vietnamese guests also witnessed unique Cuban art performances by children.
