Receiving Chairman of Coteccons Construction Joint Stock Company, Kusto Bolat Duisenov Group, General Secretary To Lam highly appreciated the group with many years of experience operating in the fields of construction, real estate, transportation and logistics, consumption... and understanding of the business environment, national development strategies of Vietnam, has made positive contributions to the development of Vietnam as well as the Republic of Kazakhstan in recent times.
In the context of deep integration with the global economy, Vietnam is gradually affirming its important role in the international arena, the General Secretary affirmed that from a country exporting labor, it has become a country exporting knowledge, technology and modern solutions. Particularly in the construction industry, with its position as one of the important pillars of the economy, many Vietnamese enterprises have reached out to the international market, affirming their competitiveness and integration spirit. In particular, enterprises have been applying high technology, pursuing advanced management models and improving their international integration capacity.
Emphasizing that Vietnam always attaches importance to the role of Kazakhstan in the Central Asian region, however, investment cooperation between the two countries is still modest and not commensurate with the potential strengths of each side. In this spirit, the General Secretary stated that Vietnam wishes to strengthen relations with Kazakhstan through all channels of the Party, National Assembly, and Government; promote investment and trade cooperation commensurate with the strategic partnership that the two sides have just established, aiming to increase bilateral trade turnover to 5 billion USD by 2030.
General Secretary To Lam suggested that the business communities of both sides, including Kusto Group and Coteccons Construction Joint Stock Company, promote their advantages, form and develop value chains, connect the two countries and the global market, thereby promoting investment and business cooperation in the coming time. The General Secretary affirmed that the Party and State of Vietnam welcome Kusto Group and Coteccons to continue researching and expanding investment cooperation in the fields of construction and rare earth minerals in Kazakhstan on the principle of ensuring investment efficiency and harmonizing interests between related parties, in compliance with the laws of both sides.
Sincerely thanking the General Secretary for taking the time to meet him, Mr. Bolat Dulsenov said that the group has nearly 20 years of experience in investing and doing business in Vietnam; with its strengths in the fields of construction investment and information technology, the group is eager to invest in areas that Vietnam has a need for.
On this occasion, Mr. Bolat Dulsenov expressed his hope that the Party and Government of Vietnam would create conditions for the group to participate in investing and sharing experiences in implementing key national projects in Vietnam, expanding cooperation to many areas of interest to both sides, and making substantial contributions to the new era of development in Vietnam.

* Receiving the General Director of the Kazakhstan National Investment Fund Samruk – Kazyna, Mr. Nurlan Zhakupov, General Secretary To Lam said that the opening of direct flights between the two countries in October 2022 and the visa exemption agreement for citizens of the two countries taking effect in May 2024 have created momentum for tourism cooperation as well as people-to-people exchanges. The General Secretary stated that Vietnam has been implementing many solutions to increase investment attraction from foreign enterprises, including Kazakhstani enterprises, focusing on the fields of semiconductors, renewable energy, agriculture, high technology, digital economy, digital transformation, innovation, development of international financial centers, etc.
To match the strategic partnership that the two sides have just established, aiming to increase bilateral trade turnover to 5 billion USD by 2030, the General Secretary hopes that the Kazakhstan National Investment Fund Samruk-Kazyna will promote its advantages, form and develop value chains, connect between the two countries and with the global market, thereby promoting investment and business cooperation in the coming time.
General Director Nurlan Zhakupov said that as one of the largest funds in the world with a charter capital of about 80 billion USD, the Kazakhstan Samruk-Kazyna National Investment Fund has a lot of experience in the field of oil and gas exploitation and minerals and is very eager to invest and do business in the beautiful country of Vietnam for a long time. Acknowledging the General Secretary's valid opinions, Mr. Nurlan Zhakupov emphasized that the fund will send a working delegation to visit and work with relevant ministries and branches of Vietnam to learn about investment in areas that Vietnam is in need of, such as important projects in the fields of high-speed railways, aviation, telecommunications, minerals, etc.
