Deeply aware of the position, role and importance of political education in general and political teaching in particular, in recent years, the Party Committee, the General Department of Logistics Command and Party committees and commanders at all levels in the General Department have regularly paid attention to leadership, closely directed, and organized implementation in accordance with regulations. The results of political and ideological education have contributed to building and maintaining the political and ideological position of agencies and units; strongly changing the situation of law enforcement and discipline in the General Department.

Based on the implementation of the instructions of the General Department of Politics and the plan to organize the 2023 Political Teaching Cadre Competition of the General Department of Logistics, since February 2023, agencies and units in the entire General Department have paid attention to leading, closely directing and seriously organizing the competition, from the grassroots to the levels directly under the General Department.

The contest at the agencies and units under the General Department was a great success in all three aspects: the way the contest was organized; the participants and the quality of the contest. Through the contest at the grassroots level, the agencies and units selected 34 excellent political lecturers to participate in the contest at the General Department level.

Lieutenant General Do Van Thien and members of the Organizing Committee and the Jury checked and supervised the candidates taking the knowledge test in the form of multiple choice tests on computers.

Taking place on May 25 and 26, participating in the general department level competition, candidates will go through two preliminary and final rounds.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the contest, Lieutenant General Do Van Thien, Party Secretary and Political Commissar of the General Department of Logistics, emphasized: The contest for political lecturers is an important content and task in Party and political work activities in 2023. The contest aims to assess the quality of the team of political lecturers and the results of political education work in recent years in agencies and units in the General Department of Logistics; at the same time, this is also an opportunity to train and foster knowledge, experience, skills, and pedagogical expertise for the team of political lecturers.

Through the contest, it contributes to raising the awareness of leaders and commanders at all levels about the position and role of political education; thereby having plans and measures to improve the qualifications, capacity and pedagogical methods for political teaching staff at all levels.

To achieve high results, Lieutenant General Do Van Thien requested: The Organizing Committee must uphold responsibility, closely coordinate with the functional agencies of the General Department to direct, operate, and organize the contest according to instructions, plans, and regulations. The judges must be objective, fair, and accurate in evaluating the results of each contestant. Contestants must strictly abide by discipline and contest regulations, uphold the spirit of responsibility, solidarity, modesty, and learning from each other; be calm, confident, and determined to achieve high results in the contest.

According to the plan, the closing ceremony and award ceremony of the competition will take place on the afternoon of May 26. After the competition, the General Department will assign the Political Department to select the comrades who won high prizes, form teams, assign tasks, organize training and practice to participate in the 2023 Military Political Teaching Cadre Competition.
