Implementing Plan No. 303-KH/TU dated March 5, 2025 of the Standing Committee of Son La Provincial Party Committee and Plan No. 107-KH/TU dated April 18, 2025 of the People's Committee of Son La province on organizing activities to celebrate the 130th anniversary of the founding of Son La province (October 10, 1895 - October 10, 2025). Over the past time, the Organizing Committee of the 130th Anniversary of the founding of Son La province has deployed many contents, programs and activities towards the 130th Anniversary of the founding of the province.

The rehearsal of the Art Program to Celebrate the 130th Anniversary of Son La Province's Establishment with the theme "Son La's Heroic Spirit Reaching Far and Wide with the Country" was elaborately staged, including three major chapters: Chapter I: Legend of the Misty Land - depicting the image of Son La, majestic, gentle, rich in cultural traditions; Chapter II: Immortal Epic - praising the revolutionary tradition, Son La's contribution in the resistance war; Chapter III: The Era of Rising - depicting a new stature, integration and development, connecting the Northwest region with the region. The program had the participation of more than 1,200 people, including professional artists, actors and mass forces. The art performance was staged to interweave epic and contemporary elements, aiming to be both emotional and educational about tradition.

The 130th anniversary of Son La province's founding will take place at 8:00 p.m. on October 10, 2025, at Tay Bac Square. The program will be broadcast live on STV channel and digital platforms of Son La Newspaper and Radio and Television. In addition to the celebration, there will be a series of celebratory activities including: Literature and art composition contest with the theme "Son La 130 years of formation and development"; groundbreaking and inauguration of a number of major works and projects of the province; organization of the Son La Ethnic Culture Festival; display of booths introducing achievements in socio -economic development; tourism products, safe agricultural products, OCOP products of Son La province; Xoe Thai Art Festival; performance of excerpts from festivals or traditional rituals of Son La ethnic groups; competition of traditional sports; competition of displaying and introducing agricultural products of localities...
