Coordinate well the organization of the Kate Festival in 2025

On October 9, Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee issued an official dispatch on coordination to facilitate the organization of the Kate Festival in 2025.

Accordingly, Kate Festival is one of the major and typical festivals of the Cham people. Organizing the Kate Festival every year is a religious and spiritual activity to express the respect and gratitude of the people to the gods. Thereby, praying for favorable weather, good crops, people living in harmony, peace, prosperity and happiness.

This year's Kate Festival takes place over 3 days from October 20 to 23, with the main ceremony taking place on October 21, at Cham temples and towers in the province. In order to create favorable conditions for the Provincial Council of Cham Brahmin dignitaries; the Customs Board of Cham temple and tower areas; dignitaries, officials and followers to organize the Kate Festival 2025 joyfully, safely and in accordance with regulations, the Provincial People's Committee requests departments, branches and People's Committees of communes and wards: Phuoc Hau, Ninh Phuoc, Phuoc Huu, Ninh Hai, Thuan Nam, Do Vinh, Bao An based on their functions and tasks to well implement related work contents. During the implementation process, if any problems arise, they must promptly inform the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions to synthesize and report to the Provincial People's Committee for direction and resolution.

In particular, the People's Committees of communes and wards must create conditions and guide the Provincial Council of Cham Brahmin dignitaries; the Customs Committee of Cham temple and tower areas; the Festival Organizing Committee; the Customs Committee of Po Inư Nưgar temple area, Po Rome tower, Po Klong Garai tower to organize the Kate Festival solemnly, safely, economically, and in accordance with the law. The People's Committee of Ninh Phuoc commune shall integrate the organization of activities to preserve and promote the artistic value of Bau Truc Cham pottery and My Nghiep brocade weaving through competitions and traditional craft performance festivals on the occasion of the festival.
