“There are many problems on both sides. In general, the conflict situation is at a serious stalemate, neither side can do anything to strengthen or improve its position,” said Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko.

According to President Alexander Lukashenko, Ukraine's demand for Russia to leave its territory needs to be resolved at the negotiating table.

“We need to sit down at the negotiating table without preconditions and come to an agreement. The important thing is to issue a ceasefire,” the Belarusian leader added.

Ukraine has just organized an international discussion on its proposed peace formula to end the conflict with Russia. The discussion took place on October 28-29 in Malta with the participation of officials from 60 countries.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said the 10-point peace formula he outlined last November was the only way to end the conflict, including restoring territorial integrity, forcing Russia to withdraw all its troops and prosecuting war criminals. The plan was backed by Western countries but rejected by Russia.

The previous two events, held in Denmark in June and Saudi Arabia in August, were attended by leaders of many countries but not Russia.

Moscow and Kiev have not sat down at the negotiating table since talks in Istanbul in late March 2022, a month after the conflict broke out.

The Russia-Ukraine conflict continues without any end in sight, with both sides continuing to retaliate against each other recently. Many peace proposals have been put forward, but have yet to yield results due to differences in viewpoints between Russia and Ukraine.

The West continues to pump weapons into Ukraine to confront Russia. Moscow believes that the decision of the US and NATO countries to supply heavy weapons to Ukraine makes negotiations between Russia and Ukraine "meaningless".

Russia has repeatedly accused the US and its allies of deliberately trying to prolong the conflict, warning the West not to provide weapons to Ukraine, stressing that this would only escalate the conflict and cause unnecessary casualties without changing the situation of the war.
