Russian news agency RIA reported on May 9 that Russian President Putin sent his thanks to Lao General Secretary and President Thongloun Sisoulith for the gift of T-34 tanks, so that the young generation of Russia can admire and recall the glorious past of their country.
“We are very grateful that you have given us T-34 tanks. Of course, these tanks are symbols of victory,” Tuoi Tre newspaper reported.
