Ho Chi Minh City to name 59 new streets, install nameplates before August 25

Ho Chi Minh City has named 59 new roads and adjusted the routes of 7 roads located in Tan Hung, Tan Thuan and An Phu Dong wards.

The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Construction has just sent a document to relevant units regarding the installation of street name signs in Ho Chi Minh City according to Resolution No. 380 of the City People's Council.

Accordingly, the Department of Construction requested relevant units to urgently review and deploy the installation of street name signs according to Resolution dated July 24, 2025 of the City People's Council for the roads assigned to manage according to decentralization. To be completed before August 25.

Particularly, Pham Khac Street, Saigon Ward will be installed after the City People's Committee issues a decision to abolish Decision No. 88/2007 of the City People's Committee regulating road boundaries and alley management in existing residential areas within the city.

The Department requests that departments and units under the Department of Construction monitor and update new street names during the process of advising on the implementation of contents related to the assigned sectors and fields.

Resolution No. 380 of the City People's Council at the 2nd Session, 10th term decided to name 59 routes and adjust the route for 7 routes. The traffic route connecting two routes at No. 12 Nguyen Thi Minh Khai Street and No. 5 Nguyen Dinh Chieu Street, Saigon Ward was named Pham Khac Street.

Dam Sen belt road, planned road, alley 152 Lac Long Quan (Binh Thoi ward) will be changed to Giac Vien street.

59 newly named roads are located in the wards of Binh Thoi, Tan Thoi Hiep, Thoi An, Dong Hung Thuan, and the communes of Ba Diem, Dong Thanh, Hoc Mon, and Xuan Thoi Son.

For example, Dam Sen belt road, projected road, alley 152 Lac Long Quan (Binh Thoi ward) will be changed to Giac Vien street; Tan Thoi Hiep 21 street (Tan Thoi Hiep ward) will be changed to Nguyen Trac street; Thanh Xuan 25 and Thoi An 16 streets (Thoi An ward) will be changed to Le Quang Hoa; Thoi An 13 street will be changed to Duong Thi Manh....

Ba Diem Commune has 21 streets with new names, for example Ba Diem 4 Street changed to Pham Thi Khe, Tien Lan 13 Street changed to Nguyen Thi Hiep, Xuan Thoi Thuong 1 Street changed to Nguyen Thi Ben...

Dong Thanh commune has 18 streets with new names, for example Dong Thanh 6 street becomes Truong Thi Trung street, Dong Thanh 8 street is changed to Nguyen Thi Muc street...

7 routes with adjusted routes are located in Tan Hung, Tan Thuan and An Phu Dong wards.

For example, Ben Van Cam route with the old route from Tran Xuan Soan Street to Song Tan Canal was adjusted to from Tran Xuan Soan Street to the end point of Nguyen Thi Thap Street; Hoang Trong Mau Street was adjusted to from Tran Xuan Soan Street to Nguyen Van Linh Street; Dang Dai Do Street was adjusted from Nguyen Van Linh Street to the end point of Pham Van Nghi Street...
