The program was attended by Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung, Chairman of the National Assembly's Economic and Finance Committee Phan Van Mai, leaders of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, and nearly 700 domestic and international delegates from 41 countries and territories.
In his opening remarks, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Nguyen Van Duoc shared the new look, new space, and new potential of Ho Chi Minh City with friends from around the world.
"Ho Chi Minh City is emerging as a modern megacity, a leading dynamic economic and financial center in the country, with an increasingly developed transportation and logistics infrastructure system, strongly connecting regionally and internationally."
A megacity that harmoniously blends many cultures, where traditional identity intertwines with a modern, creative pace of life.
"A megacity with a rich and unique history, mountains, forests, rivers, and the sea; home to Vietnam's first Ramsar site (Con Dao National Park), and a UNESCO-recognized mangrove biosphere reserve (Can Gio)... A megacity that is gradually becoming a regional MICE event center, as well as an attractive, dynamic, and promising tourist destination," Mr. Duoc said.
According to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, the opening art program with the theme "Vietnam Night - The Flow of Quintessence" is one of the special events at ITE HCMC 2025 - a cultural bridge where the essence of Vietnamese tourism and cuisine is introduced to delegates and guests, providing them with a deeper understanding of the people and culture of Vietnam.

The ITE HCMC 2025 International Tourism Fair will take place from September 4th to 6th at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC), marking 19 years of continuous innovation, creativity, and improvement in organizational quality.
With the theme "Sustainable Tourism, Vibrant Experiences," this year's fair affirms the strategic vision of Vietnam's tourism industry, aiming for green and responsible development, while creating new and unique products and services to attract international tourists.
