In his opening speech, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Nguyen Van Duoc shared the new look, new space, and new potential of Ho Chi Minh City with friends from all over the world.

"Ho Chi Minh City emerges as a modern metropolis, the leading dynamic economic and financial center of the country, with an increasingly developed transport and logistics infrastructure system, strong inter-regional and international connections.

A megacity that harmoniously converges many cultures, where traditional identity meets modern, creative lifestyle.

"A megacity with a rich history, mountains, forests, rivers, seas, the first Ramsar site of Vietnam (Con Dao National Park), a mangrove biosphere reserve recognized by UNESCO (Can Gio)... A megacity that is gradually becoming a regional MICE event center, and at the same time an attractive, dynamic and promising tourist destination," said Mr. Duoc.

According to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, the opening art program with the theme "Vietnam Night - Flow of Essence" is one of the special events at ITE HCMC 2025 - a cultural bridge, where the essence of Vietnamese tourism and cuisine is introduced to delegates and guests, to have an in-depth look at Vietnamese people and culture.
