On the evening of May 27th, Hanoi I Women's Club faced Ho Chi Minh City in the final of the 2026 National Women's Football Cup . Due to their familiarity with each other, both teams approached the game cautiously.
After an initial period of cautious probing, Hanoi I proactively increased the pace of the game, creating clear scoring opportunities, but Vu Thi Hoa and Ngan Thi Van Su were unable to capitalize on them to open the scoring.

Although Ho Chi Minh City conceded possession to their opponents, they responded with quick counter-attacks and capitalized on set pieces, including, unfortunately, Tran Thi Thu Xuan's free kick that hit the crossbar.
In the second half, Hanoi I continued to dominate but failed to score. After a 0-0 draw in regulation time, the two teams had to settle the match with a penalty shootout.

In the tense penalty shootout, Huynh Nhu and her teammates showed more composure, winning convincingly with a 3-0 score to claim the championship cup. With this title, Coach Doan Thi Kim Chi's team has won the National Cup for the fifth time, following victories in 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2024.
Earlier in the third-place match, Thai Nguyen T&T secured a narrow 1-0 victory over Phong Phu Ha Nam, thereby winning the bronze medal in the 2026 National Women's Football Cup.
