The construction of Ring Road 3 is being accelerated, and it is one of the projects connecting to Long Thanh Airport.

The Project Management Board for Investment and Construction of Transport Works (Transport Board) has been tasked with accelerating the progress of the elevated bridge section in Thu Duc City, part of component 1 of the Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 project, and the An Phu intersection construction project. The goal is to complete these works before December 31, 2025.

In addition, the city also aims to commence construction on several components of the Ring Road 2 project (the section from Phu Huu Bridge to Vo Nguyen Giap Street and the section from Vo Nguyen Giap Street to Pham Van Dong Street) before April 30, 2025, with a plan to complete them in the second quarter of 2026.

In addition, the project to expand the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay expressway (section from An Phu interchange to Ring Road 2) has also been requested to accelerate its progress. Construction is expected to begin in the third quarter of 2025 and be completed in the third quarter of 2026.

The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Transport is tasked with monitoring and resolving issues within its authority, while also advising the City People's Committee on matters beyond its jurisdiction. In particular, the department needs to urgently complete the project approval documents for the Ring Road 2 (sections 1 and 2) before February 17, 2025.
