The project has a total investment of approximately 65 billion VND, involving the construction of embankments in landslide-prone areas and the straightening, dredging, and clearing of silted sections of the Ta Trach River.

The Hue City Department of Agriculture and Environment announced that it has issued a document guiding the People's Committee of Khe Tre commune to develop a plan for dredging and recovering mineral resources, specifically sand and gravel deposited after floods, to serve the construction of key projects and works. It also instructed the People's Committee of Khe Tre commune to review the deposited areas and submit a dredging plan to create flood drainage space on the Ta Trach river.
Following the floods at the end of 2025, historic floods from the peak of Bach Ma Mountain caused erosion along the banks of the Ta Trach River, and the river's flow narrowed due to siltation, affecting many public facilities and houses of people living along the riverbanks.
Authorities have conducted an on-site assessment and discussed solutions to mitigate landslides in the area before the 2026 rainy season.


According to representatives from Khe Tre commune, the locality has developed a plan to dredge and clear the Ta Trach river to increase flood drainage capacity and stabilize the flow. The total volume of sand and gravel requiring treatment is estimated at approximately 93,700 m³.
