Houses near the Ta Trach River in the Thac Truot area, Khe Tre commune, Hue City, are at risk of collapsing due to landslides.

The Hue City Department of Agriculture and Environment announced that it has issued a document guiding the People's Committee of Khe Tre commune to develop a plan for dredging and recovering mineral resources, specifically sand and gravel deposited after floods, to serve the construction of key projects and works. It also instructed the People's Committee of Khe Tre commune to review the deposited areas and submit a dredging plan to create flood drainage space on the Ta Trach river.

Following the floods at the end of 2025, historic floods from the peak of Bach Ma Mountain caused erosion along the banks of the Ta Trach River, and the river's flow narrowed due to siltation, affecting many public facilities and houses of people living along the riverbanks.

Authorities have conducted an on-site assessment and discussed solutions to mitigate landslides in the area before the 2026 rainy season.
