Pho Yen City: Farmers contribute over 40 billion VND to build infrastructure

In the period of 2021-2025, implementing the National Target Program on New Rural Construction, farmers in Pho Yen City have contributed over 40 billion VND, more than 60,000 working days and donated over 125,000 square meters of land of all kinds to build and expand over 100km of rural roads, over 20km of intra-field canals and many other welfare projects.

Responding to the movement of “All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas”, people of all walks of life in the area have also actively participated and expanded self-management models, contributing to maintaining security and order and protecting the environment. The whole city has built and maintained 48 models of “Farmers self-management of security and order” and 117 models of “Farmers participating in environmental protection” that operate effectively and are supported by the people.

The above results have significantly contributed to the process of building advanced new rural areas and model new rural areas in Pho Yen city. Up to now, over 95% of rural roads have been concreted; 12 hamlets of 3 communes Phuc Thuan, Minh Duc, Phuc Tan have achieved model new rural areas; average income per capita in rural areas has reached over 70 million VND/person/year...
