
Specifically: the total product in the area (GRDP) is estimated to increase by 7.38% over the same period last year, of which agriculture, forestry and fishery increased by 5.19%, industry - construction increased by 6.87% and services increased by 9.18%.
The service sector continued to be the locomotive, contributing 3.9 percentage points to overall growth, reflecting the trend of economic restructuring in the right direction, increasing the proportion of industries with high added value.


Despite facing many challenges such as rising input costs and fluctuations in import-export markets, many key industries of the province still grew well: processing and manufacturing industry increased by over 11%; construction, trade, finance, and education sectors all maintained a good growth momentum.
High-tech agriculture, expanding fruit, tea and mulberry growing areas, has resulted in higher efficiency than last year.
Programs to support businesses, promote public investment and develop infrastructure have contributed to stabilizing the business environment, creating jobs and income for people.

The results achieved affirm the efforts of the Party Committee, government and business community in effectively implementing the dual goal: both economic growth and ensuring social stability.
Lao Cai's economic structure is shifting positively with the proportion of industry - construction reaching 37.38%, services 40.02%, agriculture - forestry - fishery remaining 15.47%. This is an important foundation for the province to strive to achieve an annual growth rate of over 7%, towards rapid and sustainable development.
