Chairman of the Da Nang City People's Council, Nguyen Duc Dung, shared with the Amsterdam Smart City Project Management Agency some of Da Nang's orientations and areas of cooperation in promoting the development of science and technology, innovation, digital transformation, and building a smart city.
"Da Nang hopes to continue receiving investment, management, and consulting experiences from Amsterdam in the future to build a smart, modern, distinctive, and livable city," said the Chairman of the City People's Council.
During a meeting with NACO, a company with extensive experience in airport planning worldwide and many years of cooperation in Vietnam, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City, Tran Nam Hung, shared information about the investment and upgrading project of Chu Lai International Airport.

Accordingly, the Vietnamese government has planned for Chu Lai Airport to become a 4F-class international airport. Da Nang is also studying the planning for the integrated development of complexes around the airport, transforming it into an urban area linked to commerce, services, logistics, and high technology.
Da Nang city leaders hope that NACO will explore opportunities for cooperation with Da Nang in advising on airport design solutions that are green, smart, energy-efficient, sustainable, and compliant with international standards.
Currently, Da Nang is preparing to call for investment in the Chu Lai International Airport project in early 2026 under a public-private partnership model. The city hopes that NACO will connect high-quality and reputable international investors in the field of airport investment and operation to Da Nang to explore opportunities for cooperation and joint development.

During their working visit to Amsterdam, the delegation met with Royal Bokalis Westminster NV, a member of the Royal Bokalis NV Group, a global company specializing in the construction and maintenance of maritime infrastructure such as dredging, land reclamation, salvage, and rescue of heavy vessels.
The delegation was introduced by Mr. Clovis Brouillard, the regional manager, to the large-scale maritime projects that the company has been and is currently undertaking in countries such as the UAE and Singapore.
In Vietnam, Royal Boskalis is participating in the construction and operation of the Cai Mep Ha Logistics Center (Ho Chi Minh City).
The city delegation shared information related to several ongoing projects in Da Nang for the company to research and explore opportunities for cooperation on projects such as: Lien Chieu port, dredging of the Cua Lo channel in the Chu Lai Economic Zone, dredging of the Truong Giang river, and land reclamation projects…
