The purpose of the mock exam is to help students familiarize themselves with the regulations and structure of the exam according to the 2018 General Education Program, and to review the organization of the exam before the official exam.

According to the guidelines, educational institutions must complete the mock exams before May 31st and report the results to the Department of Education and Training. The city encourages schools to cooperate in organizing inter-school mock exams to increase objectivity in assessing student performance.

The mock exam is organized according to the exact structure of the 2026 High School Graduation Exam, with Literature lasting 120 minutes, Mathematics 90 minutes, and elective subjects 50 minutes each. The exam questions must closely follow the 2018 general education curriculum, conform to the sample exam format of the Ministry of Education and Training, and ensure accuracy, scientific rigor, and reasonable differentiation.

The Department of Education and Training requires that mock exams be conducted seriously, safely, and objectively, while avoiding excessive pressure on students. Schools should strengthen communication and remind students to comply with exam regulations, and proactively prevent cheating using high-tech devices, artificial intelligence (AI), and illegal communication devices.

In organizing the examination rooms, each room will accommodate a maximum of 24 students and 2 invigilators. Teachers are encouraged not to invigilate students from their own class. The invigilation process will be similar to the official exam, from checking exam information to distributing exam papers, supervising, and collecting answer sheets.

After the mock exams, schools must organize centralized grading, analyze results by subject and student group to adjust revision plans. The Department of Education and Training emphasizes that mock exam results should not be used for ranking or to create pressure for achievement on students and teachers.
