The Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee has just issued a document conveying the directive of the Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee on strengthening the use of digital signatures in the city.
The Chairman of the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City instructed the directors of departments, agencies, and the chairmen of the People's Committees of districts, counties, and Thu Duc City to uphold their roles and responsibilities as leaders in strictly implementing digital signing and applying digital signatures to every official, civil servant, and employee in their respective agencies and units.
Units with low rates of digital signature usage need to focus on rectifying the situation, developing a roadmap and solutions to increase the rate of digital signature usage within their units. Simultaneously, they should coordinate with the Department of Information and Communications and relevant units to disseminate information about the legal aspects of digital signatures in electronic transactions through various appropriate methods.
The Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee assigned the Office of the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City to advise the Standing Committee of the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City on continuing to direct the application of digital signatures at agencies and units. The Department of Information and Communications was assigned to lead and coordinate with relevant agencies and units to study Decision No. 1198/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister on the issuance of the plan for implementing the Law on Electronic Transactions, and to advise and propose to the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City on the implementation of this decision, ensuring the set progress.
