On November 14th, Tra Vinh University, in collaboration with the Mekong Delta Student Entrepreneurship Support Network, organized the final round of the "Mekong Delta Student Entrepreneurship Ideas Competition - INNOBE 2nd Edition, 2023" and launched the Mekong Delta Student Innovation Village.
Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Minh Hoa, Rector of Tra Vinh University and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Network for Supporting Student Entrepreneurship in the Mekong Delta region, delivered a speech at the ceremony.
This year's INNOBE final round features 17 outstanding ideas from the high school category and 30 outstanding ideas from the university category, out of 93 entries.
Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Minh Hoa, Rector of Tra Vinh University and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Mekong Delta Student Entrepreneurship Support Network, stated that INNOBE 2023 is a valuable platform that promotes the entrepreneurial spirit of students. It also fosters strong relationships between universities, colleges, and vocational schools , developing cooperation and harmoniously complementing each other within the network to maximize the existing resources of each organization in supporting entrepreneurship. Furthermore, it connects members to implement international projects and research on innovative entrepreneurship. INNOBE is not only an opportunity for students to showcase their abilities but also to learn, develop skills, realize their ideas, and find their future career path.
The organizing committee awarded prizes to the first, second, third... winning ideas in the HS category.
Also at this event, the organizers launched the Mekong Delta Regional Creative Student Village. This will be an important hub in the formation and development of an innovative startup ecosystem at universities, colleges, and high schools in the Mekong Delta. It will also serve as a "platform" to connect experts, investors, and the startup ecosystem in the localities; creating opportunities to support students passionate about entrepreneurship...
At the end of the competition, the organizing committee awarded the first prize to the high school category with the idea "Producing organic feed from fermented durian peel powder combined with local ingredients and raising ducks using organic methods" by the team of authors Vo Phuong Thuy. The first prize in the university category was awarded to the idea "System for posting advertisements promoting lodging and hotel services" by the team of authors Vu Tuan Anh from Can Tho University of Technology.
