
Ms. Tran Thi Thu Nguyet - Vice President of the Women's Union of Thang Binh district said that during the implementation of Project 939, female members are regularly informed and supported to participate in start-up projects, business development, legal support, brand building, etc.
Project 939 has been implemented by all levels of the association since 2017. Up to now, the Women's Union of Thang Binh district has organized 5 training courses on entrepreneurship for more than 260 women who have and are having startup ideas. Every year, the contest "Creative startup ideas for women" is launched, the forum "Thang Binh women aspire to start a business - Promoting local resources" is organized, the festival "Women's startups and green transformation", the festival "Thang Binh women in the new era" and the exhibition of women's startup products is integrated.
The competitions attracted more than 150 ideas, of which 57 won district-level prizes, 10 competed at the provincial level, and 1 idea participated in the Central Region's "Women's Creative Startup and Green Transformation" Competition in 2024, winning an encouragement prize. The District Women's Union supported the establishment of 10 cooperatives, 2 cooperative groups, many establishments achieved 3-star and 4-star OCOP and developed stably in the market.

On average, about 5-6kg of gummy candy and jelly products are sold to the market every day at a price of 160,000 VND/kg. This creates a foundation for stable family economic development.
Ms. Tran Thi Thu Nguyet said that, along with support sources from the district and provincial industrial promotion funds, the district-level associations have secured loans with the District Social Policy Bank Transaction Office to help more than 6,229 households access loans with outstanding loans of VND 361.7 billion to date and the provincial Women's Union's capital to support women in economic development with outstanding loans of VND 1.3 billion. Thereby, 130 women have been given loans for production, business and trading; coordinated to open vocational training classes and introduce jobs for female workers with incomes of VND 5 million/month or more.
