Recently, the leaders of the Quang Ngai Labor Federation have requested the leaders of the Provincial Labor Culture House - a unit under the Federation - to temporarily suspend the operation of the playground at the Provincial Labor Culture House. The reason given is that, in recent days, there have been a series of unfortunate incidents involving children such as broken arms and legs while playing here.
This playground is owned by VN Event Media and Entertainment Services Company Limited, headquartered in Tuyen Quang province, which rents space in the yard of the Provincial Labor Culture House to build slides, swings, docks, etc. and then sells tickets to parents who want to bring their children here to play. According to the contract, this unit will rent the space from August 5 to August 25. However, after only a week of operation, incidents have occurred continuously, threatening the safety of the children who come here to play, so it is forced to suspend operations.
It is hard to describe the excitement of the children when their parents take them to this playground. In fact, games like slides, canals, swings... are not too new to children, but in Quang Ngai it is different. Every afternoon, after picking up their children from kindergartens or tutoring classes, parents always bring their children here to play. The price is not "affordable". Each entrance ticket is 50,000 VND, but parents cannot let their children play alone so they also go in and are forced to buy another ticket even though no adults play these games! Even though parents accompany their children, acting as "eyes and ears" in their children's games, there are still incidents of broken arms and legs.
Over the past decades, a series of real estate projects have been opened in Quang Ngai, but there is absolutely no place for children to play. Even in places that can be used for play, such as the Children's House, only adults come here to exercise, not to see any children, because there are no games for them to play!
Understanding the psychology of children “craving a place to play”, many garden cafes, in addition to selling coffee, have an additional side, which is a playground for children. Because of the small space, these cafes only have enough space to make a “ball house”. Yet, every cafe is crowded with children coming to play.
Many parents blame children today for being busy with studying all day long but they forget that if they want to play, where do they go? They drown when they go to rivers, lakes or the sea to swim. There have been tragic drowning incidents when children went swimming in rivers or the sea. Wandering around the city, they don't know where to go to play after stressful hours of studying.
It is known that a series of projects on green parks and entertainment areas are being prepared for implementation. We hope that these projects will be implemented soon so that children will have a place to play, and will not have to play longingly and then have accidents like the recent incidents at the Provincial Labor Culture House.
