UNRWA affirms that children are the most vulnerable in conflicts and wars. Conflict has robbed many children in Gaza of their childhood. Some have passed away forever, while those who survived have suffered deeply when their schools were destroyed, missing a whole year of learning or playing in peace .

Many of these children will suffer lifelong psychological trauma. UNRWA calls on all parties to reach a ceasefire agreement soon to end the current serious crisis in Gaza and ensure the legitimate rights of children in this land.
The Indonesian National Armed Forces are preparing three planes to evacuate to Indonesia about 1,000 Palestinians injured in Israeli attacks in Gaza. The planes will carry the injured Palestinians to Indonesia for treatment at the Gatot Soebroto Military Hospital and the Jenderal Besar Soedirman Central Military Hospital.
Indonesian National Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief Agus Subiyanto said two hospitals in Jakarta can accommodate up to 1,000 patients and provide the best medical care and post-trauma treatment for the patients. The Indonesian National Armed Forces have mobilized a team of experts to support the treatment of the patients.
The Israeli military has announced that it will suspend tactical military operations in a part of the southern Gaza Strip during daylight hours to facilitate the delivery of aid. In a statement, the Israeli military said the suspension will be implemented along the route from the Kerem Shalom crossing to Salah al-Din Road and northward. The time of implementation will be from 8am to 7pm daily. Israel's move comes as international humanitarian organizations warn of a worsening humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
Prospects for ceasefire are slim.
Qatar and Egypt plan to meet with Hamas representatives to urge the group to agree to the latest US proposal for a ceasefire with Israel. Accordingly, US National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan said that Qatari and Egyptian mediators will soon negotiate with Hamas to promote the US proposal for a ceasefire in Gaza. The US National Security Adviser also emphasized that US officials have carefully considered Hamas' response and believe there is still a chance to reach a ceasefire agreement.
However, efforts to push for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip continue to face difficulties as Israel suffers heavy losses on the battlefield and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declares that Israel will stick to the conflict's goals of defeating Hamas and returning the hostages.
Accordingly, the Israeli army confirmed that eight of its soldiers were killed in an explosion in the city of Rafah, south of Gaza. This is the incident that caused the most casualties for the Israeli army since January. The explosion occurred when the convoy of soldiers had just finished a night attack on Hamas forces and moved to buildings controlled by the Israeli army to rest.
