With a desire to contribute to the healthcare of the community and his homeland, Professor Tran Tien Sum founded the TranTien Foundation, promoting cooperation programs, technology transfer, and support with modern equipment in many fields, especially in the field of Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue University, from 2012 to the present.
Although Professor Tran Tien Sum has passed away, the legacy of his contributions and dedication remains deeply etched in the hearts of generations of doctors, medical staff , trainees, and students of the University. Representing the family, Dr. Doan Van Minh, Head of the Traditional Medicine Department and the late Professor's nephew, emotionally expressed his profound gratitude to the Board of Directors, faculty, doctors, staff, and students of the University for their precious affection shown to the late Professor.
At the ceremony, Professor Dr. Nguyen Vu Quoc Huy - Rector of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue University - expressed his deep gratitude for the contributions of Professor Tran Tien Sum. He also extended his sincere thanks to the members of the TranTien Foundation for their valuable contributions over the past time.
On this occasion, Professor Dr. Nguyen Vu Quoc Huy also presented the decision to confer the title of Visiting Professor to Professor Tran Van Nho - currently a Professor at the Mayo Clinic University Hospital, Minnesota, USA, and a member of the TranTien Foundation.
Over the past 12 years, Professor Tran Van Nho has participated in organizing training programs, workshops, plastic surgery and cosmetic surgery weeks, and teaching continuing education courses on plastic and cosmetic surgery at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue University, with the participation of hundreds of students from all over the country.
The professor has been directly involved in key activities such as: teaching and continuing education (CME) in head and neck and lower limb plastic surgery, breast reconstruction after cancer, microsurgery, fat grafting, and lymphatic grafting; transferring microsurgical techniques, nerve reconstruction, and limb plastic surgery to Vietnamese doctors; connecting with international organizations to support training and research; co-organizing national and international specialized workshops and conferences…

Following the ceremony, Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy and doctors from the Mayo Clinic, Minnesota, USA, jointly organized a scientific seminar titled "Updating Advances in Aesthetic Plastic Surgery." Professors presented and discussed reports on topics such as: "Autologous Fat Grafting: From Technique to Clinical Practice" and "Complex Cases and Lessons Learned in Aesthetic Plastic Surgery" (Prof. Tran Van Nho), "Breast Cancer: Advances in Treatment and Surgery" and "Compartment Compression" (Prof. Amanda Holland), "The Art and Science of Advanced Breast Aesthetic Plastic Surgery" and "The Miraculous Transformation of Modern Body Contouring" (Prof. Leo Keegan).
Through this event, the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue University, and the University Hospital reaffirm their appreciation for the cooperative relationship with the TranTien Foundation; and hope that this relationship will continue to grow and develop, bringing many meaningful projects to the community.
