In Binh Thuan , there are currently a number of projects under the Program to support the application and transfer of scientific and technological advances to promote socio-economic development in rural, mountainous and ethnic minority areas in the period of 2016 - 2025 being continued to be implemented by the functional unit (under the Department of Science and Technology of Binh Thuan ).
In particular, the project "Building a model for breeding and raising crossbred goats for meat in Binh Thuan province" has introduced the Boer goat breed, a specialized goat breed for meat, into the livestock activities of people in Tuy Phong and Bac Binh districts. From there, it aims to improve the quality of the local goat herd, which mainly consists of Co goats and Bach Thao goats, which have the limitations of small size and lower meat yield than some crossbred goat breeds... Through the implementation of this project, local people have been trained to grasp technical advances in raising crossbred goats, raising safe goats... to improve goat farming activities and bring higher economic benefits.
The project “Building a model for growing cordyceps and a model for growing straw mushrooms indoors for households to promote socio-economic development in Binh Thuan province” is also being promoted. Through this, 20 households participating in the model in the locality have been trained and received technical advances to serve the development of mushroom production to supply the market as well as contribute to improving income…
