Post-inspection of food safety focuses on quality control throughout all stages of production, business, and distribution in the market. This includes the origin of raw materials; transportation and storage conditions; production and processing; import and distribution of food; intensified inspection of the use of food additives, processing aids, flavorings, and colorings in food processing; control of the use of banned substances in livestock farming; the use of antibiotics, veterinary drugs, pesticides, fertilizers, and animal feed; and small-scale livestock and poultry slaughtering activities.
Simultaneously, units are stepping up food sampling and testing, especially for food groups with a high risk of causing food safety issues or food poisoning; and developing sampling and testing targets appropriate to the local production and business situation. The plan also sets out post-inspection requirements for food production, business, import, and advertising establishments; and post-inspection for state management agencies on food safety.
