Previously, the Minister of Finance, on behalf of the Government, signed Submission No. 278/TTr-CP dated April 26, 2025 to the National Assembly Standing Committee on adjusting the form of investor selection for Component Project 1 of the North-South Expressway Construction Investment Project, Western section, Gia Nghia (Dak Nong) - Chon Thanh ( Binh Phuoc ).
Implementing the direction of the Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha requested the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Construction and the People's Committee of Binh Phuoc province to monitor and direct the implementation of the Project to ensure strictness, efficiency and fight against corruption, negativity, waste...; pay attention to ensuring quality and progress, not to increase prices; determine reasonable toll levels, harmonizing the interests between the state, businesses and people.
Component project 1 of the North-South Expressway Construction Investment Project, West section Gia Nghia - Chon Thanh, has its starting point intersecting with Ho Chi Minh road (existing National Highway 14) at about Km 1923+400, in Kien Thanh commune, Dak R'Lap district, Dak Nong province; its end point intersecting with Ho Chi Minh road, Chon Thanh - Duc Hoa section, in Chon Thanh town, Binh Phuoc province.
The total length of the route under the Project is about 124.13 km, of which the section passing through Dak R'lap district (Dak Nong province) is 23.10 km and the section passing through Bu Dang, Dong Phu districts, Dong Xoai city, Chon Thanh town (Binh Phuoc province) is 101.03 km.
According to the plan, the route has a scale of 6 lanes in the complete phase, with a roadbed width of 32.25 m; the section through Dong Xoai city has a roadbed width of 33 m; in the investment phase, the route is invested in a phase with a scale of 4 complete expressway lanes.
The project is scheduled to be prepared and start construction in 2025, basically completed in 2026, and put into operation in 2027.
