Deploying electronic signature application in border procedures

In order to facilitate units, businesses and people, Nha Trang Port Border Guard Station has actively reformed administrative procedures with many effective solutions, notably implementing the application of electronic signatures in the process of receiving and processing electronic border procedures at the port border gate.

The implementation of electronic signatures helps to improve transparency, accuracy and information security, while shortening the time for processing documents, minimizing paperwork, and creating maximum convenience for businesses and ships to carry out export, import and transit procedures at the port. In addition, people carrying out procedures can declare and receive confirmation of completion of electronic border procedures right at home. In particular, when the ship arrives at the port, crew members and passengers can go ashore and proceed to unload goods immediately, without having to wait, helping to save travel time, anchorage and wharf costs, vehicle wear and tear, quickly releasing ships, maximizing the functionality of piers and wharfs, contributing to cost savings for businesses.

Up to now, the system has been operating stably, connected online to the national single window portal, allowing relevant agencies and businesses to fully perform the steps of digitally signing, checking, and confirming file information without having to print or sign directly by hand.
