'David Hockney 25' exhibition at the Fondation Louis Vuitton, Paris

On April 9, 2025, the Louis Vuitton Foundation in Paris opened a large-scale exhibition called 'David Hockney 25', displaying more than 400 works by British artist David Hockney, spanning from 1955 to 2025.

The exhibition focuses specifically on Hockney's last 25 years of work, including digital paintings created on iPads. Highlights include "Portrait of an Artist (Pool with Two Figures)."
David Hockney is one of the most famous and influential contemporary British artists. He was born on 9 July 1937 in Bradford, West Yorkshire, England. His paintings of swimming pools, especially “Portrait of an Artist (Pool with Two Figures)” – one of the most expensive paintings ever sold by a living artist.

The exhibition, housed in a unique building designed by architect Frank Gehry, marks the first time that the entire Fondation Louis Vuitton space has been dedicated to a living artist. The exhibition will be open from April 9 to August 31, 2025.
