Which bank currently offers the highest interest rates ?
Despite the general downward trend in deposit interest rates across the market, some banks are still offering attractive interest rate packages to attract large amounts of capital. A prime example is PVcomBank, which applies a rate of 11% per annum for 12-13 month terms – the highest rate currently available on the market. However, only customers who can maintain a minimum balance of 2,000 billion VND are eligible for this rate.
Similarly, HDBank also applies an interest rate of 8.6%/year for a 13-month term, but customers must maintain a minimum balance of 300 billion VND.
Thus, although the general trend is towards lower interest rates, banks are still competing to attract large amounts of capital by offering high-interest rate packages. However, the condition for enjoying these packages is the ability to deposit and maintain large sums of money.
