652 more Covid-19 cases recorded in the country on May 30

According to the Ministry of Health 's announcement on the Covid-19 epidemic, today the country recorded 652 new Covid-19 cases. Since the beginning of the epidemic, the country has recorded more than 11.611 million cases, ranking 13th out of 231 countries and territories.

With a rate of 117,342 cases/million people, Vietnam ranks 120/231 countries and territories.

Health departments reported that on May 28, 273 patients were declared cured, with no deaths due to Covid-19. Since the beginning of the epidemic, nearly 10.638 million Covid-19 cases in Vietnam have been cured.

At treatment facilities, there are 63 patients on oxygen. Of these, 50 are on oxygen through masks; 7 are on high-flow HFNC; 3 are on non-invasive ventilation and 3 are on invasive ventilation. The total number of deaths from Covid-19 in Vietnam since the beginning of the epidemic is 43,206, accounting for 0.4% of the total number of infections.

The total number of deaths due to Covid-19 in Vietnam ranks 26th out of 231 countries and territories. The number of deaths per million people ranks 141st out of 231 countries and territories.

Compared to Asia, Vietnam's total number of deaths ranks 7th out of 50 countries and territories; deaths per million people ranks 29th out of 50 countries and territories.

Regarding the progress of Covid-19 vaccination, the Ministry of Health said that on May 28, 606 more doses were injected. Since the beginning of the vaccination campaign, more than 266.4 million doses have been injected nationwide.

Of which, the number of doses injected for people aged 18 and over is more than 223.74 million; the number of doses injected for children aged 12-17 is nearly 24 million; the number of doses injected for children aged 5-11 is more than 18.7 million.
