The country recorded an additional 652 cases of Covid-19 on May 30.

According to the Ministry of Health 's announcement on the Covid-19 pandemic, 652 new cases of Covid-19 were recorded in the country today. Since the beginning of the pandemic, the country has recorded more than 11.611 million cases, ranking 13th out of 231 countries and territories.

With a rate of 117,342 cases per million people, Vietnam ranks 120th out of 231 countries and territories.

According to health departments, on May 28th, 273 patients were declared recovered, with no deaths due to Covid-19. Since the beginning of the pandemic, nearly 10.638 million Covid-19 cases in Vietnam have been treated and recovered.

At treatment facilities, 63 patients are receiving oxygen therapy. Of these, 50 are receiving oxygen via face masks; 7 are receiving high-flow non-invasive ventilation (HFNC); 3 are on non-invasive mechanical ventilation; and 3 are on invasive mechanical ventilation. The total number of deaths due to Covid-19 in Vietnam since the beginning of the pandemic is 43,206, accounting for 0.4% of the total number of infections.

The total number of Covid-19 deaths in Vietnam ranks 26th out of 231 countries and territories. The number of deaths per million people ranks 141st out of 231 countries and territories.

Compared to other Asian countries, Vietnam ranks 7th out of 50 countries and territories in terms of total deaths; and 29th out of 50 countries and territories in terms of deaths per million people.

Regarding the progress of Covid-19 vaccination, the Ministry of Health reported that an additional 606 doses were administered on May 28th. Since the beginning of the vaccination campaign, more than 266.4 million doses have been administered nationwide.

Of these, over 223.74 million doses were administered to people aged 18 and over; nearly 24 million doses were given to children aged 12-17; and over 18.7 million doses were given to children aged 5-11.
