On the morning of January 31st, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism organized the opening of the thematic exhibition "The Imprint of the Subsidy Period in Ha Nam Province" and recreated the cultural space of a traditional Tet market, along with cultural experiences and traditional folk games.

This is one of the typical activities in the series of cultural, sports, and tourism events celebrating the Party, the Lunar New Year, and the renewal of the country and homeland by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ha Nam province in 2024.

The thematic exhibition "The Legacy of the Subsidy Period in Ha Nam Province" aims to help everyone, especially young people – the generation born and raised after the country implemented the reform policy – to better understand the hardships, difficulties, and shortages in the lives of each individual and family that their fathers' generation experienced.

Through the exhibits, the children will further appreciate the values, results, and great achievements of the reform process led by the Communist Party of Vietnam ; strive to work, study, and train, contributing together to building a stronger, more prosperous, and civilized country and homeland, and engaging in exchanges and integration with friends in the region and the world.

The exhibition "Footprints of the Subsidy Period in Ha Nam Province" is arranged using a layout method, employing nearly 300 original artifacts and supplementary scientific documents to recreate the living spaces of individuals and families during the subsidy period from 1976 to 1986. These spaces include: living rooms, bedrooms, kitchens, state-owned shops, agricultural cooperatives, shops renting comics, books, and newspapers, and outdoor exhibition spaces displaying agricultural and fishing tools... aiming to recreate the social life of the people of Ha Nam during a significant historical period.
