Lieutenant General Do Xuan Tung offers incense in gratitude and commemoration of General Nguyen Quyet

On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day, on the morning of April 24, in Hanoi, Lieutenant General Do Xuan Tung, Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army (VPA), and a delegation from the General Department of Politics came to burn incense to pay tribute to General Nguyen Quyet, former Secretary of the Party Central Committee, former Vice Chairman of the State Council, former Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army, and former Deputy Minister of National Defense.

At the altar of General Nguyen Quyet at his home, Lieutenant General Do Xuan Tung and members of the delegation respectfully offered incense and expressed their respect and deep gratitude for General Nguyen Quyet's great contributions to the revolutionary cause, the struggle for national liberation, the construction of the country and the heroic Vietnam People's Army.

In front of the spirit of General Nguyen Quyet, Lieutenant General Do Xuan Tung and the members of the delegation vowed to always study and follow the shining example of the General in all aspects of work and fields of activity; to constantly strive, work hard, practice, and build a solid political stance, and together with the leaders of the General Department of Politics, lead, direct, and build a comprehensively strong agency and unit as a "Typical model", excellently completing all assigned tasks, especially in leading and directing the Party's work and political work of the entire army, ensuring that the Army is always politically strong, well meeting the requirements of the task of building and defending the Fatherland in the new situation.

Lieutenant General Do Xuan Tung visited the exhibition booth displaying valuable documentary photos about the revolutionary life of General Nguyen Quyet.

In a warm and friendly atmosphere, Lieutenant General Do Xuan Tung and relatives of General Nguyen Quyet talked and shared special stories and memories about the respected predecessor who devoted his entire life to the revolution. Through that, it further affirmed the temperament, mettle as well as the strategic thinking of the General who fully possessed the noble virtues and qualities: Wisdom - Courage - Humanity - Trust - Integrity - Loyalty.

On this occasion, Lieutenant General Do Xuan Tung sent his regards to General Nguyen Quyet's health and life and wished his family members good health, happiness, and success in all areas of work as well as in life.
