The university with the largest number of admission applications in the country

(Dan Tri) - Up to this point, this is the university with the largest number of candidates applying for admission in the country with more than 178,000 applications.

According to information from Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade, the number of candidates registering for admission to the school on the general admission system of the Ministry of Education and Training this year has increased dramatically, to more than 178,000 applications.

This is a record number of applications to the school, 2.5 times higher than last year.

Up to this point, this is the university with the largest number of candidates applying for admission in the country.

The two majors with the largest number of registered candidates are logistics and supply chain management and marketing.

Regarding the record high number of admission applications, Mr. Pham Thai Son, Admissions Director of Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade, said that this year there is no early admission, all methods are implemented simultaneously in the first round.

Therefore, candidates tend to register many wishes to increase their chances of admission, leading to an increase in the number of applications to schools.

However, Mr. Pham Thai Son said that although the total number of applications to the school is unprecedentedly high, there are only more than 13,300 first-choice applications, more than 16,300 second-choice applications, and more than 17,100 third-choice applications.

At the school, there are more than 41,300 candidates registering for admission from their 10th choice and above. The most special case is the candidate registering for their 132nd choice to enter the school in the field of business administration.

According to data from the Ministry of Education and Training, this year, the whole country has 849,544 candidates registered for admission on the system, with more than 7.6 million wishes, reaching a rate of more than 73% of the number of candidates registering for the high school graduation exam. On average, each candidate registered nearly 9 wishes.

On August 16, the Ministry of Education and Training will upload the database to the system and organize the selection. Then, within 4 days, from August 17 to August 20, the system will filter out the fake ones.

Accordingly, the Ministry uploads the admission results of schools to the system (admission results of all admission methods) and returns the application processing results to the schools 6 times to produce the final results.

After the virtual filtering, by 5:00 p.m. on August 20, schools will enter the admission scores and admission results into the system, review and prepare to announce the first round of admission results according to the general schedule.

Before 5:00 p.m. on August 30, all admitted candidates must confirm their enrollment on the system (if they wish to study).

From September 1 to December, candidates who need to apply for additional admission rounds must follow the admission information posted on the training institution's admission information page.
