DNVN - In early September, Tra Vinh University (TVU) had four more programs achieve international AUN-QA accreditation: the University of Food Technology, the University of Early Childhood Education, the University of English Language, and the Master's program in Cultural Studies, bringing the total number of AUN, FIBAA, and ABET accredited programs at TVU to 19.
Tra Vinh University has become one of the universities in the Mekong Delta with many training programs that meet international quality standards.
TVU now has four more training programs that have achieved international educational quality accreditation from AUN-QA.
Previously, TVU had 7 training programs that met AUN-QA standards, including: Pharmacy, Medical Laboratory Technology, Nursing, Khmer Language, Agriculture, Fisheries, and Veterinary Medicine. 7 programs achieved FIBAA international accreditation, including: Business Administration, Economics , Accounting, Banking and Finance, Law, Master of Business Administration, and Master of Economic Management. One Information Technology program achieved ABET accreditation, and the University is continuing the accreditation process for its remaining training programs in the near future.
Education experts believe that any university, once its training programs are accredited by international organizations, receives international recognition for its quality of education. This recognition ensures high-quality training, meeting requirements for facilities, qualified faculty, advanced curricula, and active teaching methods, helping students develop their abilities and meet the increasingly demanding recruitment requirements of businesses. Therefore, students studying programs accredited by AUN-QA, FIBAA, and ABET at TVU have many advantages when seeking employment, integrating into the international labor market, and achieving personal growth.

Furthermore, for many years, the University has consistently ranked among the Top 200 universities with a green educational environment and sustainable development investment, according to the UI GreenMetric Ranking. For the fifth consecutive year, TVU has continued to rise in the top 100 universities with real impact, according to the World Universities with Real Impact (WURI) ranking published by the World University Alliance. Accordingly, TVU continued to improve in 2024, ranking 42nd in the Top 100 WURI Ranking of universities with positive influence and contributions to society. Notably, in the ranking of 13 component indicators, the university ranked first in the culture and innovation promotion group – B5 (WURI Culture/Value), Top 10 in artificial intelligence application – A7 (Generative AI Application), and Top 15 in investment mobilization in the education sector – B2 (Funding).
At the same time, the school actively considers the potential social impact of its training programs to update them appropriately according to the demands of the labor market, with the participation of stakeholders, especially students and the business community. The school expands its Co-op training programs with businesses, provides customized training, and promotes quality assurance of education according to international standards, giving learners the opportunity to access advanced global education and gain a competitive advantage in the international labor market. Students have the opportunity to intern or participate in international research projects, receive scholarships to study abroad, or participate in student exchange programs.
The school conducts teaching and research activities to preserve, promote, and develop the language, culture, and art of the Khmer ethnic community in Southern Vietnam; organizes exhibition spaces for traditional cultural products, fostering a love for the traditional culture and language of the ethnic group. At the same time, the school incorporates environmental protection education into its curriculum through various forms, such as including environmental protection skills modules in the soft skills training program for regular students, treating it as a course component. Furthermore, the school organizes diverse extracurricular activities, events, workshops, and competitions related to the environment, encouraging students to participate in environmental protection activities.
The school has policies on tuition fee waivers and reductions, scholarships to encourage learning, scholarships sponsored by businesses and philanthropists both domestically and internationally, subsidies for students from disadvantaged backgrounds, students who overcome difficulties, ethnic minority students, and implements policies for student loans to support research projects and entrepreneurship.

The university connects students with businesses, strives to create job opportunities for students, expands practical career experience activities at businesses, organizes extracurricular activities, and promotes the establishment of numerous clubs including research clubs, startup incubation clubs, community service clubs, skills and creativity clubs, arts and culture clubs, sports clubs, martial arts clubs, blood donation clubs, and environmental clubs for a better world, as well as student cooperatives and student farmers' associations within the university.
